Public markets where growers sell their wares are called farmer's markets are dominated by food vendors, other kinds of vendors also sell wares at them. In other countries public markets are sometimes known as bazaars. No every town or city has a public market. Some public markets are world famous and have hundreds if not thousands of vendors. Many public markets and farmer's markets are only open on certain times of the year and only on certain days. People come to public markets to get fresh food, to be entertained and to buy directly from producers.
